
An accomplished medical information executive, Mary Hiller brings more than four decades of experience to her role as executive director of knowledge engineering and health systems at MedExpert International in Redwood City, California. In this position, Mary Hiller leads development of medical information systems that utilize artificial intelligence, human pattern understanding, and other forms of machine learning to facilitate medical decision-making.
Mary Hiller holds a bachelor’s degree in biology from Santa Clara University. Prior to joining MedExpert International, she held prominent positions in health care and medical information, including serving as medical information director for Sutter Health (then known as the Palo Alto Medical Foundation) and as a leukemia researcher at Stanford University. For nearly a decade, she also wrote a syndicated medical column for United Media that reached 35 million readers.
Active in the larger medical information field, Mary Hiller routinely attends industry events. Outside of her professional life, she gives back to the community through her support of charities and nonprofit organizations such as the Vista Center for the Blind, the National Center for Equine Facilitated Therapy, and Filoli.
